Abnormality #0006, commonly referred to as "stand_in.mdl," is a mysterious player model that appears in the model selection menu of Garry's Mod under varying or incomplete names. These include:
player/stand.in
player/testsubject0
player/blank
default/ghostcar

The model appears as a modified version of the standard GMod citizen model, with paler skin, slightly oversized hands, and untextured eyes. Despite being selectable, the model is not tied to any known addon, does not appear in the workshop, and leaves no entry in the spawnmenu or addon browser.

"stand_in.mdl" is not aggressive, nor does it harm files or systems. However, its persistent presence, subtle camera mirroring, and ability to reappear make it an unsettling anomaly-especially for players who never remember downloading it.

When selected by the player, the model functions as expected—but subtle effects have been observed over time, including:
Preview animations not loading
Animations in multiplayer are completely absent and are shown as a t-pose.

Early into 2019, almost all instances of stand_in.mdl were removed from GMod. However, those who still had access to it at the time retained the side effects of paranoia.
