Abnormality #0005, nicknamed "TVFACES," refers to a corrupted media stream that appears within video playback addons in Garry's Mod. Most often it manifests while using media player entities like the GMod Cinema TV, EGMedia Screen, or custom HTML panels that stream YouTube, Twitch, or local files.

Rather than playing the intended video, the media screen will abruptly switch to looping black-and-white footage showing a crowded, unmoving audience-hundreds of blurry, humanoid figures, all staring directly at the screen. Some players have claimed that one figure always appears clearer than the others, sometimes blinking or tilting its head between loops.

The earliest report of TVFACES dates back to a GMod Theater server in early 2022, where players began seeing a "watching audience" video during a Garry's Mod machinima night. The host denied uploading or cueing it.

A Steam user named devstream_blank uploaded a YouTube playlist titled "observation batch," which included a link to the same video. The account has since been deleted.

0005 will begin to alter the user's steam account without affecting Garry's Mod. After 1 month of exposure to 0005, the user's account would abruptly be deleted with no apparent reason. It will also deny access to downloading Garry's Mod when making a new account.
